Sonoma Smiles Foundation

The Sonoma Smiles Foundation is a charity foundation that was started in 2006 to give back to the community in which we live. The foundation bases its principles on the following mission:

At Sonoma Smiles, office of Wayne Sutton, D.D.S., we believe in helping the local community that has been so supportive of our office. By offering professional services and providing financial scholarships, it is our hope to bring a positive impact to our community by changing lives one smile at a time.

We are continually looking for new ways in which to help and give back to the community. Listed below are some of the organizations and programs we have become involved in to achieve this goal:

Mouth Guard Program: The mouth guard program was started as a way to show our commitment to healthy mouths and local sports. We have teamed up with Glidewell Laboratories to provide the Rancho Cotate Varsity Football Team (a local high school football team) professional football mouth guards. The money for these mouth guards and other charity events is raised through our professional tooth whitening programs in the office.

"Give Back a Smile" Smile Scholarship Program: Sonoma Smiles selects one person a year from the local community to receive a new smile makeover to at no cost. Sonoma Smiles has teamed up with Dental Masters Laboratory of Santa Rosa to select a worthy individual to receive the gratuitous smile makeover. In addition to the smile makeover which includes all necessary cosmetic and restorative dental care, the "mini-makeover" also includes an eye exam, professional clothing, hair and makeup and professional photo shoot. Applicants can apply on our website or by requesting an application at the office. The completed application must also contain three letters of recommendation. Applications must be received starting in January of each year and the final decisions will be made by committee vote by June 1st of the same year. Sonoma Smiles believes in giving back to those less fortunate than us and there is nothing like a bright new smile to change someone's life for the better.

WIN Foundation (Women In Need Organization): The WIN Foundation is a 501-C3 non-profit organization for abused women and children. Dr. Sutton is an official cosmetic dentist of the Mrs. Globe/Mrs. USA Pageant, the largest international pageant for married women in the world. Mrs. Globe is a focus of charity, culture and beauty and has been televised in over 35 countries for the past nine years. Dr. Sutton is amongst a very select group of cosmetic dentists who participate in the S.M.I.L.E. program who provide smile makeovers to the pageant contestants and help raise money for the WIN Foundation charity.

Local High School Scholarships: The Sonoma Smiles Foundation helps qualified graduating seniors interested in studying dental sciences by providing financial scholarships. For more information on scholarship opportunities or to request an application, please call our office. 1-800-817-7078
